Caffaro Industrie SpA launches new PXA24 plant in Torviscosa (UD)

In May 2025, Caffaro Industrie SpA successfully launched its new PXA24 plant, dedicated to the production of Pethoxamide, a systemic herbicide used for controlling grass and broadleaf weeds, primarily in corn and soybean crops.

The plant, designed and built in just 12 months, is located within the Fine Chemicals area of the Torviscosa (UD) production site. This achievement marks a significant step forward in the company's industrial strategy, focused on technological innovation and the expansion of its product portfolio, including in the agrochemical sector.

To support the development of the new plant, Caffaro Industrie SpA took advantage of the incentives provided under the Transition Plan 5.0 – a strategic opportunity for Italian companies to modernize their industrial processes, improve energy efficiency, digitize production systems, and adopt innovative technologies.
